In my visual stories, I aim to spark the imagination. Adventure and mystery are recurring themes. A strong story is the foundation for me. It needs to offer more than just excitement: depth, emotion, and imagination. The illustrations add extra layers and enhance what is hidden between the lines.

Pien and Pirat and the Secret of the Treasure
Join Pien and Pirat on an adventure in this colorful picture book full of imagination. When they discover a mysterious treasure map, an exciting journey begins, leading them to a tropical island.
Amid the funny details and surprising search-and-find elements, young readers discover that the real treasure isn’t gold.
Graphic Novel in Progress
My new graphic novel tells the story of Rosie, a girl who lives on Texel. When she discovers a hidden map on an old ship, she is drawn into an adventure that pushes the boundaries of time and reality. The ship is connected to a sixteenth-century ghost story, and Rosie ends up on a mysterious island.
The story unfolds across four time periods, with three distinct drawing styles and matching atmospheres, giving each period its own visual identity.
